Humility is Essential

This was my response this morning to a lengthy Facebook post by a fellow graduate of Manhattan High School:

I do think we need to be careful when we refer to things like “disabilities” or “tragedies” as “tests from God.” I think we should acknowledge an underlying  humility: That while we seek to understand God and her will, we can never completely comprehend the infinite.
